What is happening to wild animals in Scotland and all around the world?

Intergenerational learning and action for preserving biodiversity

A stag standing in a forest with it raining behind is a deep forest.

What’s on offer?

We invite you to remember animal species easily met in the past and imagine them in the future as affected by people's actions. With various games, we aim to raise awareness and generate intergenerational learning about biodiversity loss, helping the public to explore their emotions, knowledge and beliefs about local wildlife and provide strategies that can empower people to take action following intergenerational learning. Alongside us will be partners from SCCAN (storytellers Joana Avi-Lorie and Gazelle Buchholtz), RSPB and GUEST.

What’s it about?

Research has clearly shown the importance of the natural environment for people's mental and physical wellbeing. Although biodiversity is precious for the human species, in Scotland, as in many other countries around the world, its existence is undermined by human activities. Biodiversity loss is a threat for all the planet but there are several actions that people across different generations can undertake to prevent and stop biodiversity loss.

Who’s leading the event?
