What’s on offer?

It is well-known that the NHS in the UK is facing significant challenges to deliver care to patients in a timely manner and at the level of quality that patients require. After many years of fiscal austerity and lack of investment, the health service is becoming unable to cope with the increasing demand.

Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire have been working collaboratively with NHS partners to envisage new modes of care delivery, which could enable the NHS to meet the needs of patients within challenging financial and resource constraints.

What’s it about?

This discussion event will showcase some of the models, which were developed in partnership with the NHS to analyse the challenges it currently faces.

Healthcare practitioners are invited to attend to explore how reconfiguring services and changing care delivery could make significant improvements. They will have the opportunity to discuss with researchers how these models could be deployed to help the NHS achieve better outcomes, as the current constraints on resources become the norm in future.

The event builds on a REF 2021 Impact Case Study by Reda Lebcir and Eren Demir.

Who’s leading the event?

Reda Lebcir, Professor of Business Analytics/Management Systems at University of Hertfordshire and Eren Demir, Professor in Decision Sciences at University of Hertfordshire.
