Are you interested in advances in technology? Do you ever wonder what the future is going to be like? Do you find yourself thinking about how Artificial intelligence is changing the world? Join us in an informal and interactive workshop and help shape the conversation on the future of AI and mental health. Professors Robert Meadows and Christine Hine – both from the Sociology department at Surrey University - will invite you to speculate, brainstorm, create fictional artefacts and sketch possible futures.
We welcome anyone with an interest and attendance does not require knowledge of Artificial intelligence/technologies. Please also note that whilst we will be focusing on technologies for mental health the event is future orientated and participants will not be asked to reflect on their own health and wellbeing. It is hoped that the event will allow participants and researchers to reach a clearer understanding of what an acceptable use of AI to support mental health might look like.
