Art Work Exeter in partnership with the University of Exeter Green Futures team and funded by the Knowledge E Foundation launched an artists’ commission for a new piece of street art in the city as legacy for the COP27 Climate Change Conference. The chosen work, voted for by the public, is a response to the bilingual (English and Arabic) book We Still Have A Chance, which was published for COP 27. Over 150 climate scientists, health professionals, storytellers, artists, translators, and youth leaders from Exeter and Egypt took part in virtual creative writing workshops to co-create a unique collection of 12 short stories to unite us to imagine and forge a sustainable, healthier, and fairer world. You can read the stories and learn about the project and all the creative outputs here: https://issuu.com/universityofexeter/docs/2022uems019_12_stories_aw
In this workshop join our University of Exeter COP team and the artist to explore, create, discuss, and celebrate the launch of a brand-new mural for the city inspiring us to take action to create a liveable future.
