A series of talks and interactive workshops for pupils in sixth form.
This event will provide an exciting opportunity for local school children ages 16+ to gain a taster of how the social sciences examine find solutions to heath and welfare issues in society today. The students will be provided with a range of different interactive workshops that get them to explore a range of issues affecting our society and the world today, introducing them to active social science research, demonstrating how the social science disciplines (sociology, social policy and criminology) help us understand and shape our world and provide solutions to some of our most pressing issues.
