A public exhibition to showcase the creative outputs of a community research group to tell the collective story of a group of older people living in Salford. The exhibition will display photographs taken as part of a co-designed community research group as part of the Developing Age-Friendly Communities in Post-Pandemic World research project. The project is led by Salford University in partnership with Inspiring Communities Together, Age UK Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University.
As part of the project’s participatory action research approach, a group of older people are working as co-researchers. The group have been using various creative tools to use co-research to support individual voices to develop one collective story. The project aims to understand the people, places and spaces that matter to older people in Salford represented through photography adopting a photo-voice approach.
