What’s on offer?

A chance to join our Castlemilk partners to hear about what they are doing in ‘Love and Solidarity’ together in their community and beyond and to take part in real-life activities that give a taste of what they do and what we all hope to do in the future - together.

Make soup-packs with the Souperheroes; join the Youth Complex in celebrating the talents of their youth members bringing their music and songs to the Festival; take part in play activities that help us to imagine both past and future lives - and learn more about why ‘Place’ Matters.

What’s it about?

Communities and universities must work closely together to help make change where it’s needed. Lots of different types of partnerships contribute to that – with the social sciences at the forefront of supporting partnerships that enable all our voices to be heard, particularly those who are directly affected by the issues concerned. Today, we give the stage to two of our fabulous community partner groups and the geographical community and city they live and work in – together with an opportunity to learn more about how a renewed recognition of the importance of ‘Place’ - then and now - is shaping our research and understanding in so many ways.
