What’s on offer?

A ‘business breakfast’ style event consisting of a short talk, following by a panel discussion based on audience questions and closing with a short networking opportunity. The formal part of the event will last for 90 minutes with a further 30 minutes for the networking opportunity.

What’s it about?

Join us at our Penryn Campus to hear from Dr Daniel Derbyshire, a research fellow at the University of Exeter who will share his findings on unconscious bias in the workplace, particularly as it affects disabled people. Dr Derbyshire’s research was published earlier this year as part of The Inclusivity Project – a European Regional Development Funded project and he has contributed to a Parliamentary Briefing on the subject.

We will also hear from a panel of experts who will discuss and answer your questions on workplace inclusion and bias.

This event is free to attend and includes a light breakfast and time for networking. It is part of the Economic & Social Research Council’s Festival of Social Science taking place across the UK in October and November.

Who’s leading the event?

Dr Daniel Derbyshire, Research Fellow at the University of Exeter
