Wellbeing across the generations

Three different generations of guys on the side. The closest being a young boy, the middle being middle-aged and the last one looks older.

Lifelong wellbeing theme

What’s on offer?

Join us for a drop-in workshop to map out older and younger people to spend time with and discuss the places in your community where you would do this. We will ask you to consider how this impacts your health and well-being. Younger visitors are welcome to draw some of the people in their lives who are important to them, telling us how and where they like to spend more time with them.

What’s it about?

The people that we spend time with influence our wellbeing. Often this can be family, co-workers and friends who, are much older or younger than us. We invite you to hear more about our research on how different generations impact each others' health and wellbeing and to consider how we can make the most of these connections to promote wellbeing in our communities.

Who’s leading the event?

Stephanie Chambers, Senior Lecturer in Sociology of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow and researchers from the Social and Public Health Sciences Unit.
