Game Changers: gender representation, participation and wellbeing in sport

Lifelong wellbeing theme

What’s on offer?

Panellists:

Professor Michael Sanders on cricket and gender representation.

Tommy Hughes, Head of Human Performance at Mercedes Powertrains, and Dr Kate Bancroft on increased gender representation in Formula One.

Bryanna Harding, Head of HR at Crystal Palace.

35-minutes of Q&A with the panel.

What’s it about?

The triumph of the England Lionesses at Euro 2022, the Women’s Cricket Team’s success at the World Cup in 2017 and, more recently, the controversies sparked by Spain’s football World Cup success this summer have ignited global conversations around gender equality and representation in sport. Ranging from football to cricket, to Formula 1, the need for greater visibility, representation and fairness within sport, and an emphasis on how it can contribute to wellbeing, has never been more vital.

Join the Policy Institute and Global Institute for Women’s Leadership as we bring together experts from the sports industry (including Mercedes HPP and Crystal Palace FC) to discuss sports participation, representation, and the impact this has on well-being, underpinned by new research findings.
