A 1hour talk on how political theory can be applied to problems in contemporary policing followed by audience Q&A and discussion
Join Political Theorist, Dr Edward Hall to explore how society should respond to abuses of power by the police. This talk will introduce how political theory can be applied to problems in contemporary policing. It will outline and contrast radical arguments in favour of police abolition with liberal attempts to mitigate police cruelty, before considering which approach offers the most politically realistic and fertile response.
