What’s on offer?

This event will offer young people the opportunity to discover the breadth of social sciences research. Three speakers from different subjects (Economics, Political Science, and Psychology) will deliver short, engaging presentations to students and parents about their recent research. The audience will have the opportunity to learn about topical research, ask questions and be inspired! 

What’s it about?

The three speakers will grapple with the following questions in an age-appropriate way: 

• Does foreign aid reduce migration?
• Do genetics explain educational outcomes?
• Do employers discriminate?

The group of researchers will provide evidence from their research to answer these fascinating questions. 

Who’s leading the event?

This event is organised by Prof Arnaud Chevalier (Professor in the Department of Economics, Royal Holloway, University of London)

Other speakers presenting at the events include:

• Dr Cassilde Schwartz (Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy, Royal Holloway, University of London)
• Dr Kaili Rimfeld (Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London)

Open to

Young people aged 16 to 18 and their parents.

This event is scheduled to take place at several secondary schools local to Royal Holloway throughout November.
