Digital Mandala Creation

Combining physical and digital creation to create mindful mandala or “zen tangle” art-work

Lifelong wellbeing theme

What’s on offer?

At Fablab Coventry we are about creating physical, digital, and merging them together to create exciting designs. We also understand the importance of wellbeing and mindfulness and the role it plays in our lives. Active creativity involves the act of making as means of wellbeing, expression and creating a positive impact. With this workshop we are looking to encourage this mind set and learn new skills both in the digital and physical environment around us while creating a unique mandala ornament.

What’s it about?

Mandala and “Zen Tangle” colouring are ways in which people find to relax and be mindful. In this workshop we are looking at adding a digital element to create your own mandala design instead of existing artwork. We will be creating our design in a digital art software call Inkscape and though tools like mirror and rotate we will be creating a unique design. After we have the design, we will be cutting it on to wood and making it into a hanging ornament that you can add more details and patterns to with markers and paints.
