What’s on offer?

Are you a public or school librarian interested in the relationship between reading and wellbeing? If so, please join us!

Researchers from the University of Edinburgh and Scottish Book Trust will share new findings from the Leverhulme Reading and Wellbeing Project and we invite you to share insights and experiences on this important topic from your professional practice. We look forward to an interactive, engaging and informed discussion of the role that reading plays in supporting wellbeing.

What’s it about?

The Leverhulme Reading and Wellbeing project offers in-depth insight into readers’ perspectives on the relationship between reading and wellbeing. Novel to this project, we work with children, young people, adults and older adults and can therefore explore the role of fiction at different stages in life. This event will also offer the opportunity for researchers, librarians and the Scottish Book Trust to share different perspectives relating to their work in this area and build collaborative connections.

Who’s leading the event?

Dr Nicola Currie and Dr Sarah McGeown (University of Edinburgh) and Katherine Wilkinson (Scottish Book Trust)
