Ever wondered how you can get involved in Plymouth and the wider city’s vibrant arts scene?
Local arts groups will showcase their wares, while talks by mental health experts take place throughout the day.
Join us at this market-hall style event where we’ll be talking about the therapeutic power of the arts (e.g. writing, painting, film-making and performance, among other arts). We’ll be seeking to highlight the value of arts practice and appreciation, and how local communities and ‘social prescription’ (as supported by the NHS) can support wellbeing and mental health.
Individuals and arts organisations alike are welcome at this event, which brings people together to discuss and to learn how the arts might inform the wider health system. The event will share best practice from these organisations and raise awareness/promote social prescription of arts as offered by Wolseley Trust (and others) in Plymouth.
