Young girl working at a craft table.

Lifelong wellbeing theme

What’s on offer?

Fun for all the family, this interactive workshop will feature a trio of hands-on activities for parents and children. Focused on language, learning and development, each activity demonstrates the interactive games that researchers use to study child development.  Find the activity stations at the Ulster Museum, Belfast  including: a colouring book game and a word learning game for exploring language development, a self-regulation app to promote Child Wellbeing and an app to support the development of the Fundamentals of movement skills. In addition, the Ulster Centre on Multilingualism will deliver a lunchtime discussion about bilingual language development.

What’s it about?

This set of interactive activities is perfect for families who want to learn about health and wellbeing in various areas of child development. It offers a holistic view of the young person, providing hands-on experiences that can help develop motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding. These are all important aspects that enable a person to value and participate in learning and physical activity throughout life. With this program, families can spend their day discovering more about their child's growth and progress, and how they can support them to reach their full potential.
