Join us for an inspiring discussion that delves into the depths of the caring relationship. Our event brings together an exceptional line-up of speakers providing unique insights into this profound bond.
Through personal stories, evidence-based research and shared experiences, the panel will explore the multifaceted dynamics of caregiving and care receiving, including the challenges faced, the sacrifices made, and the triumphs celebrated by these extraordinary individuals.
The discussion is chaired by David Brindle, a leading social policy journalist and former public services editor for the Guardian newspaper. Panellists include Emily Kenway, activist and author of Who Cares: The Hidden Crisis of Caregiving and How We Solve It, Professor Jon Glasby, Director of IMPACT, the UK centre for implementing evidence in adult social care, and Clenton Farquharson MBE, a disabled person with lived experience and Chair of the Think Local Act Personal programme board.
Presented in partnership with IMPACT – Improving Adult Care Together as part of ESRC Festival of Social Sciences.
This event is presented as part of A Place to Call Home a new public programme of exhibitions, activities and events exploring what home means to all of us.
